THE SUPPORT CREW

TEAM 3LAW

Jonty Fernandez, NZ.

Special Role:
Keeping the Ship on Course

WHY SURVIVORSHIP? Laura's made a life changing declaration to get healthy and fit and that's a super tough challenge. Breaking the bad habits, which don't serve you anymore such as smoking and rubbish diets and replacing them with healthy habits, is what survivorship is all about. This test of Laura's will, perseverance and commitment is a testament to the life ongoing challenges Landmine Communities face.

Penny Pen & Benny Ben, UK.

Special Roles: Voices of reason and support line

TEAM 3L BEIRUT

Laura Adams, UK: Boundless Energy

     - Special Role: Crowd and Team Motivation

WHY SURVIVORSHIP? I come from a small village called Ashtead in Surrey located next to Headley Court in Leatherhead, Surrey, which is the main centre that rehabilitates war survivors.  I regularly saw soldiers at the train station or in the local pubs and felt moved by what hardships they now faced as a result of losing their mobility and having to be so far away from family.

My father is a taxi driver in the area and often drives the soldiers or members of their families to and from the station. I remember witnessinng him take one of the survivors from Headley Court to No.10 Downing Street to meet the Prime Minister.  The soldier was so excited about being mobile again and subseqent opportunity to meet the Prime Minister. Its communities like 3L that help make this more possible.

Pepita Fernandez, NZ: A Keen Eye for Lines

       - Special Role: Photography & Planning

WHY SURVIVORSHIP? There's a fascinating story to be told by both the competitors engaged in the challenges and the people they are raising funds and awareness for. Helping to capture some great images for this is a key part of developing an interesting story, which will hopefully help to engage more people. Plus, this first round helps support my brother and someone needs to check that he doesn't leave his keys behind.

Ben Lester, UK - Infamous Tuk Tuk Competitor

I feel privileged to work with a group who desire to convert personal effort into rewards that are beneficial for others -  3LS deserves every level of support I am sure it will get.
